ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION

PERMANENT ACTIVITIES

Since 2004

In July 2004, Prof. Dr. PAUL DEMARET, Rector of the College of Europe, invited our Association to act as national selection body and to organize the selection of Bulgarian citizens who want to go to the College – to both its campuses in Bruges, Belgium (specialized Master programmes in several fields) and in Natolin (Warsaw), Poland (Letter from prof. Demaret).

Since 1997

The Association elects its honorary members (honorary persons) with a view to their contribution to Bulgaria’s integration in the European Union.

Since 1994

A representative of the former students of the College of Europe takes part in the selection of Bulgarian applicants for studying in the College.

Since 1993

The former students of the College of Europe hold regular meetings, to which they invite honorary guests to special thematic discussions. Among the latter are top administrators in the Bulgarian government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomats from the European Commission Delegation in Bulgaria and from the embassies of EU member states in Sofia, civil servants of the European Commission, representatives of academic circles in Bulgaria and abroad who work in the field of European integration. As a rule, these meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month.
